This is early drawing of Sonic the Hedgehog that I made to focus on character stances. Sonic the Hedgehog is an iconic video game character that has many different stances and poses throughout the franchise. I wanted to choose a stance that represented his positive attitude while also showing his overall design. I put Sonic in the center of the composition to keep him as a focal point in case I decided to draw background elements. This drawing helped me refine my skills with drawing characters that have stances with personality.
